Viet Nam Vet

I joined and served in Viet Nam from 1967, well into 1968. Spent a year and a half there.

I salute you for your Service Denny!  I know a quite a few Veterans from your era, mostly Navy guys.  My father-in-law was at sea during part of those years too.

Thanks Chet...Yeah, I had a few Sea Bees friends while over there. We used to swap parts, and have some swim time, when there was a break...
Here's a map from that time and where my base camp was.

My hat's off to you, and thank you for your service. It's too often guys that served during the vietnam era don't get their due credit for all they gave for our country. I am currently in the Air Force and have been serving our great nation since 29 November 1987. Thanks again DennyW for your contribution to our great nation.

Denny, you were right in the thick of things, weren't you?  I'll second what Rhino said about you guys not getting the respect you deserve.  After a recent trip to Hawaii, staying right on Ford Island, I am a firm believer that no American can ever thank our service men and women enough, or truly appreciate what our Heroes have done for this country by the service they gave.  Very humbling trip.  Thanks again, to both of you this time, for serving.

In a while, Chet.
