305 Build

Here is a 305 Build that I am doing that I Posted on my Hot Rod Forum . This is the 305 from out of my 1983 Monte Carlo . This same build up would also be a Good one for a 1978-87 Monte Carlo . Yes most of the Time guy go right to the 350's or 400's . But with how money is hard to come by and with the Cost of fuel on the up . I think more 305's are going to be built .  http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=124903&p=3&topicID=28095113

Tango,   Great thread on the rebuilding of the 305.  I followed your post on the other site.  I too have a 305 from my Monte hanging on the engine stand with 78,000 miles on it.    Before covering it, I squirted some oil in each of the cylinders, and turned it over a couple revolutions,  to keep it lubed up until I decide what to do with it?

Well I test ran that 305 . You can see the Video on Page two of that Build Link . I picked a Good day . 4th of July No Problems Running it for 20 mins at 2000 RPM's with Open Headers biggrin At First it sounded Kind of Mild . But when I cracked the Throttle Open boy does it Roar yawn  I would Build another 305 . But the Next one will be More Wild nod.gif
