I'm a new member, and just found out about this forum today. It's about time there is a Monte Carlo forum. I was brought up in a Chevy family, my father used to race a Chevy II back in the late 60's early 70's. We owned 75, & 78 Monte carlos, both were eventually sold. In 1984 my father bought a Blue Monte Carlo SS and ended up giving it to me for my 25th birthday. I have been looking for a forum to share ideas and hopefully get information to aid in my restoration of this car. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information on wiring diagrams or electrical components on this car. Right now I don't have any pics of the car in it's current color scheme which is "rich blue". It was painted this color back in 1988.

Rhino, Welcome Right now, we're all new members, even me. Just started the board on Thursday as kind of a motivation to get back to working on my '78 Monte. As Denny already demonstrated (thanks Denny, appreciate it), we're all into helping everybody else and learning something new. BTW, nice car!
I found this forum from a monte-list email. I am thrilled that there is a forum now. I have a 1986 Monte Carlo SS, pretty much all stock (except the paint). This Monte has owned me for seven years now. She has had 3 previous owners where she had sat in their garages or yards. When I bought her she had sat in a yard for two years in the California sun but started right up :P
She is my daily driver and a favorite in town.
http://www.dixiemontecarlodepot.com/ <~~~ a great site, especially for those hard to find MC parts.
I look forward to hearing from all of the Monte Addicts.

Nicole, Welcome to the board and thank you for joining us! You've got a very sweet looking ride (just judging from what I can see from your avatar shot....). Black is my favorite on SS's, looks menacing as all get out when it pulls up behind you.
