What started as my first "good" car ended up in me finding a replacement for it. Back in 1982 I sold my first Monte Carlo due to higher gas prices and my wife going to college. A few years ago I found a car pretty close to my original Monte. After 3 years of work, my replacement Monte is about done. The few pictures that follow show some of the progress. It starts with my original back in 1978, followed by the work on my replacement 1978. The flatbed truck shows when the replacement arrived from South Carolina to Minnesota. Thanks for letting me share my project. Mark

Great looking car....Chet, you better get going in yours....LOL
Tell me about it. I spent most of the day just cleaning the shops (garage and the basement starage area) so that I can work on it. Of course, I did look at the under side of the body, and found some rather un-nerving rot along the entire left side floor pan. I'm still going to proceed with the body/frame split, but I think for structural integrity, the interior will be out, but the doors left on and glass left in. I've got to get pics on here....
